He received further training working as a hospital laboratory technician while continuing his university studies. He graduated from Brigham Young University majoring in microbiology and chemistry. During his career as the senior microbiologist for Miles Laboratories, he continued his study of human physiology at Notre Dame University.
Desiring to directly improve patient health, he enrolled at Palmer College of Chiropractic. As an Associate Professor, he taught classes in Hematology and Emergency Preparedness. After graduation, he opened Bowden Chiropractic Clinic. For thirty years, his life’s work was to improve the quality of his patient’s health.
In 2010, he was called to serve a humanitarian mission in the developing country of Tonga, South Pacific. Among his other duties, he taught nutrition and wellness principles to the people of the island. Upon returning to the United States, he continued to study the relationship between the biochemistry of the body, nutrition and health.
